Social Butterflies Foundation’s mission is to provide education, support services, and encouragement to empower and uplift those living with lupus and fibromyalgia in effort to help them and their families face the challenges of these debilitating illnesses.

The Capital Region Land Conservancy is central Virginia’s only local land trust. Our mission is to conserve and protect the natural and historic land and water resources of Virginia’s capital region for the benefit of current and future generations.

The mission of The Sophie House is to provide Encouragement, Supportive Services, and Housing for single women and single women with children, that will move them from instability to stability.

James House provides support, advocacy, and education for people in the Greater Tri-Cities Region affected by sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking to empower them to become healthy, safe, and self-sufficient. All services are trauma-informed, cost-free, confidential.

We offer a faith-based healing ministry to our qualified Hanover neighbors by providing free medical and dental health care with compassion, dignity and respect. We are a 501(c)(3) with 5 clinics staffed entirely by professional volunteers and generously supported by donations and grants.

Join us on our mission as we Just REIGN by providing various types of scholarships or awards to individuals, groups & organizations showing potential to expand Godliness or Greatness in their areas of influence giving special consideration to those having limited or no financial resources.

Cobb Imprint’s mission is to “provide relief for at risk and impoverished youth in our community”. Imprint is committed to making a difference in their lives. By partnering together, we have a larger voice to spread awareness, provide support, and offer hope.

Birthday Blessing makes sure that children in need receive a birthday present on their special day when they otherwise wouldn’t. A corporate-sponsored party is also part of the fun for this birthday child and 3 of their family members!

Outreach Involvement Center is a non profit at risk youth mentoring and alternative education. We provide services to youth that have been expelled from school, dropped out on probation and looking for a second chance to receive their high school diploma.

We are a women’s networking group with a purpose.  Every year we award $1000 scholarships to graduating local high school women.  We meet usually on the first Thursdays of the month for lunch and networking.

The Cultural Arts Center inspires and enriches the community by offering exceptional cultural performances, classes and visual arts exhibits. Our outreach programs take exciting art experiences to underserved youth in after school and detention programs as well as to senior living communities.

The ART of Driving is the educational outreach program of the Ashley Renee Thompson Memorial Foundation, dedicated to keeping all children safe on our roads. Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for all children over the age of five! The ART of Driving is working hard to change that.

Hanover Community Support Services helps meet the needs of Hanover County citizens by providing financial resources for individuals with developmental disabilities, emotional and mental health challenges, and/or challenges with substance use disorder.

Crater Community Hospice’s mission is to educate the community on serious illness and end of life concerns and provide families and patients with quality care and supportive services.

Ashland Community Preschool is a Montessori-based, cooperative preschool. We use the Montessori method to provide a stimulating and enjoyable experience for 33-month-olds to five-year-olds.

The Hanover Chamber focuses on serving as a liaison between local government and business to champion responsible economic growth, creating and building community across our county, across multiple platforms and providing relevant networking and business-building opportunities for our members.

Co-founded by 7 caregiving families, Hope Family Village, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, is a community-centric collaborative, offering acceptance, housing, and sustainable support for people with mental health conditions and their families.

Tributaries International promotes care for children, mental health and trauma healing, and leadership development. We do this by equipping informal service providers with basic mental health and counseling skills and working with global partners, the church, community groups, and NGOs.

RVC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing athletes of all ages for amateur volleyball competition. We promote interest in the sport of volleyball, provide training in the skills and techniques, and foster teamwork, sportsmanship and an appreciation for health and wellness.

The Y is a diverse organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Providing therapeutic horseback riding, driving, At-Risk programs and related equine activities for individuals with intellectual, physical, emotional and learning disabilities, as well as behavior issues/disorders.

Providing funds for park development and enhancements along with recreational programming and community events.

Pawssible educates individuals, businesses, medical professionals, and organizations about the benefits and capabilities of working with a service dog.

St. Margaret’s School is an independent, Episcopal, all-girls school located in the town of Tappahannock, Virginia, on the banks of the Rappahannock River.

Purpose Bound Parents is a non-profit organization with the mission of ending the cycle of poverty in single parent households by providing a unique support system to the family as the parent pursues a college degree.

The National Kidney Foundation is the leading organization in the U.S. dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease.

Becoming Families is dedicated to providing at-risk youth of the foster care system with stable and loving homes through the involvement of devoted foster and adoptive parents.

Access Virginia provides open captioning and audio description at live theatrical performances so that Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Blind/Visually Impaired persons can experience live entertainment at public facilities.

Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers (MRCS) was formed in 1984 by a group of concerned retailers, regional Law Enforcement Officials and the support of the Retail Merchants Association.

Swift Creek Mill Theatre, Inc. is a historical theatre on the National Historic Registry, dedicated to providing the adults and children in the tri-cities area with professional theatre.

NetworkPeninsula is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that equips nonprofits with tools to fulfill their missions effectively. Programs support more than 250 nonprofits across the Peninsula through continuing education, Board Training, networking, information sharing, and expanded outreach.

Dream Catchers improves the quality of life for individuals with physical, emotional and developmental needs by providing equine assisted activities and therapies.

Animal Welfare League was established in 1965 to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.
